Scar: A mark left on the skin or within body tissue where a wound, burn, or sore has not healed completely and fibrous connective tissue has developed.
Most of the time people look at scars with the viewpoint that they are “ugly" or “something you should be ashamed of". Scars are beautiful!!! Scars are bumpy and squiggly which represents how life is.
Scars prove that you are still here, living through what you went through. Scars prove that you not only fought those demons time and time again but also that you won. The scars you have tell of your imperfect story that God allowed you to have. Scars are what build you up. They are what make you stronger and more capable to conquer anything that comes your way.
I went through a time in my life where I thought that all the scars that I had physically, mentally, and emotionally were too much for me to get better. I believed that when people saw me all they saw was a broken girl with a broken foundation. My scars are what pushed me to keep going. Those scars are what make up a huge part of who you are as a person.
Don't be ashamed of the scars you have. Many have scars that are outward appearance and many have scars that are within. You can tell your story by having your scars. You can save someone else by telling the story of your scars. They have a purpose just like you do. Your scars can make a difference just like you can. Either way, the scars you have are your story and they make up who you are. You, yourself are one amazing individual with a purpose and life full of unexpected journeys. What doesn't kill you will keep trying, but in those wounds are seeds ready to bloom into something beautiful.
