It's Mid November. Your midterms are done and your papers are turned in and you need to start the next assignments. The next homework you have due are your final papers and exams a month from now. You're exhausted and feel like a gross zombie that hasn't quite been able to fully rise from their grave.
It's my personal opinion that everyone should embrace the Mid-Semester Slump.
But, why? Everyone says to work through it. Power through.
I say EMBRACE THE SLUMP!
You need to shower
I'm not talking about those 5-minute showers you've been living off of. Shower properly: lather, rinse, shave (if you so desire), and let the hot water cascade over your midterm hump of a back.
Catch up on some of that sleep you lost during those all-nighters.
Need a nap? Take a friggen nap.
EAT.
At least some healthy-ish food rather than donuts and other junk food you've been living off of for the last few weeks while studying like a zombie.
Hang out with your friends that you may not have seen for a couple weeks.
They've missed you as much as you've missed them.
Enjoy a non-scholarly hobby.
Learn to knit or sit down and write something that doesn't have to do with school. Read some fanfiction or binge-watch Netflix or Hulu. Luckily, when you have to put it down later this week, you'll be able to pick it back up in less than a month during the semester break!
