Easy Summer To Fall Transition Outfits

Even though the first day of autumn has officially passed, it sometimes doesn't feel like fall is officially here. It could be chilly one day and humid the next day. Although the transition from summer to fall happens annually, it is still difficult to decide what to wear every year during this time. Until the weather matches the season we are in, here are easy ways to dress during the transition from summer to fall.

The key to make your outfit picking process easier during changing weather: layering! Take your summer pieces and layer them with the essentials from your fall collection and voila! You have a good foundation to create outfits from.

Midi Dress

The midi dress was an easy basic to throw on this summer. An idea on how to layer this piece is to wear a jean jacket over the dress and wear Converse on your feet. With this outfit, you still have the summer leisure of wearing a dress, but at the same time your arms and toes will stay warm during the chillier parts of the day.

Denim Skirt

From classic denim mini skirts to modern button front denim skirts, this is a good piece to utilize during the in-between temperature this time brings. Wear a pair of tights underneath this skirt to keep your legs warm. For the top, you could wear a long-sleeved shirt. On a chillier day, swap out the long-sleeved shirt with a sweater.

Slip Dress

Slip dresses have made their way back into the fashion world. Keep the '90s alive by wearing this dress over a short-sleeved white t-shirt while sporting a choker. If the weather is on the cooler side of the scale, switch out the short-sleeved shirt for a long-sleeved shirt.

Satin Camisole

A satin camisole is a good piece from your summer collection to wear in a layered outfit. This top is easy to tuck into a pair of vintage jeans, add a lengthy cardigan over it and throw on a pair of fabulous booties.

Crochet Top

Bring beach vibes from the summer with you wherever you go by wearing a crochet top on the dreary fall days. Wear it with an army green jacket, cuffed jeans and a pair of combat boots.

If you don't have any of the pieces above top to help with your outfit choices, that's okay! There are other easy pieces that you might already have in your closet to make the transition from summer to fall easier. Some of those clothing pieces include tights, scarves, cardigans and any kind of jacket that you have. Happy styling!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
