5 Easy Homemade Christmas Presents
Beauty Crafter

During Christmas time, it is really easy to spend a ton of money without realizing it. These gifts are great (especially for college students) because you don't have to spend a whole long of money, you could make them for multiple people, and they are fun to make.

1. Body Scrub

All you need is:

-1 tablespoon of room temperature coconut oil

-2 tablespoons finely ground pink Himalayan salt or sea salt

-3-4 drops of Rose Organic Essential Oil

Combine all of them and stir it up, and you have your body scrub ready! You could make this scrub for your sister, mom, or friends. It's a great scrub and will make your skin super soft.

2. Cookie Mason Jars

Just pick out your favorite cookie recipe and put all of the ingredients in a cute mason jar! This one is super simple, cute, and yummy.

3. Bath Bombs

These are really fun, but a little more complicated to make. You will need:

-4 oz. baking soda

-2 oz. cornstarch

-2 oz. citric acid
-2 oz. Epsom salt

-1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons water
-1 teaspoon essential oil
-1 1/4 teaspoon oil
-1-2 drops food coloring (optional)

The rest of the instructions on how to make it are here:

4. Hot Chocolate Ornaments

You just need a clear ornament, a pack of hot chocolate, and some mini marshmallows and sprinkles. this one is fun and will keep your friends warm for Christmas

5. Homemade Candles

This one is also a little more complicated, so the link is here:

This would make a great present, and people would really appreciate it because who doesn't love candles.

These are just a couple fun presents that are easy to make in a short amount of time. They can really come in handy, and will save you some money!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
