5 Easy College Meals

Living on your own is pretty rough, you have to do your own laundry and make your own dinner. It can be a lot and by the end of the day you're always left with the same ild question of 'what should I have for dinner?' Usually my initial thought is to go find some fast food place on campus that is still open, but lately I have been taking a different approach. I always try my best to eat healthy and a great way I do that is to meal prep, or at least try to! If I meal prep I don't have to worry about what I am going to make for dinner, now I just have to worry about when I want to heat it up. But don't worry if you don't have time in your busy schedule to meal prep, these simple healthy meals will help you out!

1. Chicken Parmesan

This is my go to meal! I always have frozen chicken and pasta in my apartment and that's really all that you need! If I forget to meal prep or take something out of the freezer I just get out some chicken and bread it! it is one of the easiest meals you can make!

2. Pizza Margherita Grilled Cheese

If it's one thing I love it's a good grilled cheese! I also have a love for margherita pizza, so this is the perfect option! This is something that is super easy to make if you forget to meal prep or take something out to defrost over night!

3. Hot Ham & Swiss Croissant

I always struggle with making sure that I eat breakfast in the morning. I like to make sure that I get a good meal in before I start my day! So when I am running late cereal is always my go to, or just a small granola bar. But by mid-day I am starving, so I always like to make sure I have enough time to cook a nice breakfast. My usual go to is oatmeal or a breakfast sandwich! I usually choose to throw some egg in this to make the perfect breakfast sandwich that's great for on the go!

4. Naan Bread Pizza

Another simple recipe is naan bread pizza! This is something that I love to make all of the time because I can customize it anyway that you want! Every time that I make this I switch up what kind of pizza I make. All you have to do is make sure you have naan bread, sauce and cheese and your all set! Add as many toppings as you want!

5. Taco Lettuce Wraps

Tacos are probably one of my favorite meals that I can have! But it having tacos every night for dinner is not that healthy for you. So I decided to switch out the tortilla for lettuce! I haven't tried it with the turkey yet, but eating tacos in lettuce wraps instead is a way healthier option and its amazing1

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
