What do Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black all have in common?

They will be starring alongside each other in the upcoming movie “Jumanji.”

Johnson first announced his involvement with the project along with others via Instagram posting this captioned picture at the beginning of the year.

"It's OFFICIAL: Love this script! Big movie news that me and my canine gal Shang are excited to share;) To produce, create and deliver original properties to fans like HBO's #ballers to this summer's #CentralIntelligence is one of the best parts of my job. But to take great properties that are beloved worldwide like #BAYWATCH and #RAMPAGE and have the opportunity reimagine their stories in dope new ways to a whole new generation is truly an honor. It's official. We'll produce and deliver to a whole new generation a title that I love and is one of my all time favs: There's games you play for fun...then there's games that change your life. JUMANJI Working on edging up an already very good script with my @sevenbucksprod team. Up next is meeting with our producer Matt Tolmach and director Jake Kasdan. Shooting starts this fall. Promise to deliver something cool and special.. and not screw the whole damn thing up;). As always I'll keep you posted. Casting this should be fun! #JUMANJI #JungleLife #JustPressStart #SONYPictures"

That big news was just recently coupled with more official news when Johnson went to Instagram once again a few days ago to announce that Jack Black has signed on.

"Been a big fan of his work over the years. A brilliant actor who I'm confident will turn in a performance of a lifetime for JUMANJI. (when we reveal his character you'll understand;). In our reimagining of the story of JUMANJI, Jack brings that rare balance of cool with funny and edge with childlike joy. The "Jumanji Breakfast Club" is coming together.. myself, Jack (mf'n) Black and Kevin Hart."

But there wasn’t always excitement for the remake.

There was a lot of tribulation when it was first announced that a reboot was in the talks in August 2014. Many sought out social media to voice their opinions. A lot of the criticism stemmed from the timing of the release and the passing of Robin Williams, who portrayed Alan Parrish in the 1995 original. News about the reboot first broke August 5 when Sony released its 2016/2017 movie slate, and sadly, six days later, Williams passed.

A lot of the dislike cultivated the ideas that it was too soon and that there was a lack of transitioning based on the recent events that acquired. With that being said, a lot of the objections leeched onto the wording "reboot." That one word was causing the most controversy. It didn’t sit well that the upcoming movie wasn’t going to be a sequel, but rather a remake.

Not only were fans really upset, but so was another original star from the movie. Bradley Pierce, who played Peter Shepherd, voiced his concerns to TMZ. Pierce openly admitted that he would back a sequel, but the idea of a remake—no. According to his knowledge, the idea of a remake was allegedly tossed around for years, but Williams would not sign off on it. Pierce doesn’t know if it is true or not, but he did state that Williams had his reasons for not jumping aboard. “I think he didn’t want to do another one because the first one felt right. It felt like the way to do it.”

Bradley Pierce and "Jumanji" co-star Kirsten Dunst (Judy Shepherd).

There are almost two years between the first announcement and today to act as a buffer. Opinions and thoughts may have changed as the tension slowly dropped.

Originally on Sony’s movie lineup, the remake was set to release Christmas day of this year, but now that date has been pushed to July 28 of next year while filming starts this fall. According to Johnson, casting is still going on for two big roles still needs to be filled, teasing "One bad ass girl. One semi-sorta bad ass dude. Who will they be... this is gonna be fun."

Black's latest work is "Kung Fu Panda 3" as he reprised his role as Po and lent his voice to the character Lotus. The movie premiered in theaters January 29. Kevin Hart's latest work ties back to Johnson again. Both are starring in the highly anticipated summer comedy: "Central Intelligence," which hits movie theaters June 17.

Despite any hesitation in regards for the movie, Johnson utilized Instagram to spread his vision for his new project and the admiration and respect he has for Robin Williams ensuring that the remake will honor the late actor.

"An important thing that I want to be honest and bring up is Robin Williams. The love and respect I have for this man is boundless. You have my word, we will honor his name and the character of "Alan Parrish" will stand alone and be forever immortalized in the world of JUMANJI in an earnest and cool way. I have an idea of what to do and I think his family will be proud. I also think Robin is somewhere lookin' down and laughing, remembering the first time we met backstage and I (for the first time ever) was a star struck bumbling idiot that couldn't even get my words out. Idiot. He literally calmed me down w/ that smile and laugh. But that's for another fun story down the road."

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
