If you are 21, Paint Nite can be a wonderful opportunity to have a fun night out with friends and create a painting in two hours.

If you haven’t heard about Paint Nite, their slogan is “Drink creatively!” And they really mean it. If you want to drink with friends while painting, Paint Nite is definitely for you.

First, go to PaintNite.com where you put in the town or city where you want to attend a Paint Nite. Then you can choose the between dates in which you want to attend Paint Nite, how far away you want to look for an event, the level of difficulty of the painting, and even the main colors of the painting.

Once you choose the painting and order your tickets, arrive to your chosen event 15-20 minutes early. When you check in with the artist, who is also the host, you can choose your seats. Usually, Paint Nite events are held at restaurants, so there will also be a waiter or waitress so you can order food or drinks during the entire Paint Nite event.

Part of the great thing about Paint Nite is that the artist breaks down the painting. They lead you through how to paint the entire painting – including telling you which brush to use, how to use the brush, how to mix colors, and how to achieve certain looks. Everything is step-by-step and the artist paints with you so they not only tell you how to paint, but they show you how to do it too.

Everyone has their own personality and style so each painting is different, but everyone has fun. There’s music, laughter, painting, food, and lots of drinks! It’s a lot of fun to paint with friends, but Paint Nite can also be a relaxing and fun solo night out, too.

After you attend your own Paint Nite, you’ll get a coupon code from your artist or if you take the survey they sent to you, you can get 35% off your next Paint Nite! I’ve gone to five Paint Nites and they have all been fun, relaxing, and rewarding because I always come away with a painting I’m proud of!

(And yes, I painted that cover photo at my most recent Paint Nite!)

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
