Everyone has something that they always wanted to do or achieve. Whether that's going skydiving or finishing school, there is always something more a person wants in life. The mistake most people make is not giving themselves enough time to achieve these aspirations. I get it, life can get busy and sometimes you don't have enough time to even think for yourself, but it's important that you do something for yourself every once in a while. The rest of the world can wait.

One thing that can help with making sure you achieve these dreams of yours is simpler than you might expect. When I was in a hole I had dug myself about a year ago, my dad told me to write down everything I want to accomplish in life. He said to think of your future and every little or big thing you want and to write it all down. I was not in the right mindset to do this activity he had obviously planned out for me, but I went along with it. I covered an entire piece of paper, front and back, with dreams and aspirations I want to someday achieve and it really got me thinking.

My dad told me that it is more likely for these things to come true if you write them down and put it somewhere you can read it every day. I keep this piece of paper with wherever I go so I can be reminded daily of how much I have to live for and all the things in store for me. I have it hung on my ceiling and read it every night before going to bed. Already, I have achieved several of these dreams and it has only been a year since writing them all down.

Every now and then I add onto this list because every day there is something new I want myself to achieve. It is exciting waking up every morning knowing that today could be the day that I achieve another one of my goals, but in order to achieve these goals, you must put in the effort and work into making them happen. Some may be easier than others to achieve, but all in all, everything you write down has some importance to you which makes it more fun going after them.

I wouldn't call this list your new year's resolution because some of the things you write down won't happen for years to come. I would call it your bucket list, or for me, your aspirations. You are aspiring to do everything you've always wanted to do in life and won't stop until these duties are done.

So, do as you want and write down these aspirations or don't, it's your life and your dreams were talking about. However you go about achieving these things, make sure to put all your effort into making it happen because the only thing that makes life worth living is following your dreams.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
