Unlikely Dream Couples: JK Rowling And James Franco

I am very proud of my deconstruction series of articles I have started here on Odyssey. However, I have come to realize that can't be my bread and butter. I could start another one. I figured I am a quirky guy with thoughts nobody else could possibly dream of. I also have odd dream celebrity couples, and I figured I could provide some insight into my madness. Now, keep in mind that this is pure fantasy and the odds of this happening are astronomical. Hell, I think JK Rowling is happy married. However, this is about having fun and thinking deeply into the inner working of relationships and what makes them tick. So, enough with the preludes.

I believe JK Rowling and James Franco would be a match made in romantic heaven. I know what you all are thinking: How does a straight edge man get high enough to think of this stuff? They are from two different worlds, which makes them perfect for each other, in my humble opinion.

JK Rowling is a juggernaut of literary arts and film with the Harry Potter franchise. She took the world by storm and she is a true blue success story. From humble beginnings to a globally recognized name. She is the symbol of maturity and kindness that has deeply entwined in the culture of today.

James Franco is an insane motherf***er who is flat out awesome. He is a rebel without a cause, purely because he doesn't want to find a cause. He beats to his own drum while also flowing to wherever the wind blows. He is one of the biggest comedic actors of this generation, while also being a true visionary when it comes to his film exploits. He also prides himself on being a good artist.

So, why do I want these two people to bump uglies? One is a symbol of pure class and the other is a hipster's delight. Well, the old phrase "opposites attract" is most definitely true. They also have enough similarities to bridge the gap of love. JK Rowling has taken a significant stand on Twitter posting progressive stuff to inspire many. James Franco has taken Instagram by storm with his whacky antics and cool, unusual photos. Don't you see how perfect that is and how that best represents each other? Twitter is more literary-based, Instagram is more artistic-based. They have conquered both sides of the social media platform.

James Franco also has similar interests to JK Rowling. He has made feature after feature based upon books written by famous authors. He has an appreciation for the fine arts of life. JK Rowling is no stranger to the crude lifestyle, either. She has posted some raunchy stuff on her Twitter from time to time. I think their senses of humor would mesh well and, let's be honest, they would be super adorable together. Just imagine the Instagram post of them together. Well, a man can dream, can't he?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
