10 Verses When Your Doubting Your Worth
Samuel Elkins

Some days life is messy. Some days I feel messy. Messy like I can't seem to fit everything I need to do into the day or remember everything on the to-do list. And sometimes it is far to easy to lump my success or worth into the same category with "I accomplished everything" or "I got a good grade on the test." And if I don't get it all done, or if I bomb a test, then I have a tendency to give that situation the power to alter the way I view myself. But that's not at all the way it's supposed to be. I have a God in Heaven who sees me as his own. He sees me as an absolute treasure, and my worth in His eyes won't ever change, regardless of how messy I am. Here's a few verses if you need a reminder.

1. Proverbs 31:10

She is worth far more than rubies and pearls.

2. Jeremiah 31:3

I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

3. Romans 5:8

But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!

4. Ephesians 2:10

I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ to do good works.

5. I Corinthians 15:10

But by God’s grace I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not ineffective.

6. John 1:12

He gave them the right to be children of God.

7. Psalm 139:14

I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well.

8. Isaiah 43:4

I have called you by name, you are precious in my eyes, and honored and I love you.

9. Psalm 46:5

God is with her, she will not fall.

10. Ephesians 1:4

Even before He made the worlds, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
