Summer. A two syllable, six letter word that scares insecure girls everywhere. Summer means a lot of things: no school, going to the beach, and bathing suits, more specifically, needing that "perfect" summer body.
It's a scary thought, thinking that you need to be a certain size or have a certain body to wear a bikini. Thinking you're not good enough can be so harmful and can lead to people taking extraordinary measure to fit that "perfection".
I'm here to tell you, though, that none of it matters. It doesn't matter what size you are, wear whatever makes you comfortable and happy!
Don't let anyone tell you that you're not good enough, because you are. Having self-love is so important, so don't let some asshole tell you anything negative about yourself... I promise whatever they say is not true.
I know a lot of girls feel insecure because of people they see on social media. That. Is. Not. Real. No one on social media is who they are in real life. You can't focus on people online because everything can be faked. What you should focus on is who you are and how much potential you have and using that potential to be the best you can be.
I've personally always struggled with my self-image, especially during the summer. I've been insecure for as long as I can remember, worrying about summer and wearing bathing suits. Recently, however, I've been trying my best to work on self-love. It's been a long process, and I'm still working on it, but it is so important to feel good about yourself.
You don't need to be a size zero to wear a bikini. You don't need to be a size zero to be happy and comfortable with who you are.
Wear that damn bikini and work it.
