When everyone was younger, they all had that one activity they enjoyed more than anything. Maybe it was writing. Maybe it was painting. Maybe it was a sport. Maybe it was playing an instrument. Whatever the case, everyone had that one hobby they were extremely passionate about and enjoyed doing.
As people grow up, however, responsibilities grow. There are bills to pay, exams to study for, and jobs to work. There is considerably less time to devote to a hobby, and there is more time to devote to the part of life that is growing up.
When people age, they tend to start saying "Oh, I used to really enjoy doing that, but I don't have time anymore." The reasoning behind spending less time on hobbies people love is that they have too many responsibilities to do. However, growing up doesn't mean your passions have to vanish.
Yes, it's true that as we go through college and into the workforce and beyond, we have considerably more tasks to complete than when we were younger. Still, why should we let this stop us from enjoying our passions and hobbies? Why should we let this make our lives dull, boring, and devoid of things we love doing?
It's entirely possible to continue to follow your passions as you grow old; it may just be in a different way than when you were younger. If you enjoy writing, you could keep a blog or journal. If you enjoy painting, you spend a warm summer day painting outdoors. If you enjoy playing sports, you could join a recreational league or just do a pick-up game with some friends.
No matter what your passion is, there is a way to fit it into your adult life.
