Bystanders play such a crucial factor in assisting and saving community members from rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, and other unfortunate instances.
Their role is undeniably important in society, and individuals must learn to not keep quiet when witnessing immoral or wrong acts. All unethical occurrences must be reported, and sometimes, individuals involved in a certain situation fail to notify authority figures about such exigencies.
Therefore, the responsibility of the bystander is to attempt to prevent the scenario from occurring or escalating in addition to relaying the crime to officials. Victim shaming is a depressingly realistic issue, and more work must turn towards avoidance efforts. If individuals work together to collaborate ways for illegal occurrences to dwindle, then society will function in healthier environments.
While I do not endorse the label of “rapist,” I feel that this title is appropriate to describe the behavior of individuals who rape other individuals. However, nobody deserves to be called a certain name in regards to a derogatory deed. Individuals who rape are dehumanized with this insulting monogram, and while they wrongfully partake in movements of disgrace, they should not experience negative scrutiny from others.
Rape is a sin, and individuals who are egotistical should not see rape as an acceptable concept. However, if individuals point fingers at other individuals who rape instead of explaining the severity of their actions, then individuals who rape will never learn.
Education on rape is hoped to reduce the likelihood of rape occurrences, and perhaps, individualistic conceitedness will be lessened if people are more aware of the life-threatening effects that rape demonstrates on both the victim and on the guilty party.
Bystanders are capable of spreading knowledge and information on the seriousness of rape to both individuals who rape in addition to the general public.
