The transition from high school to college can be tough. You have to say goodbye to friends and pack up your life and take it to a new place. I'm going to list some things that you might forget when your're packing for college.
1. Cleaning Supplies
Living in a dorm, it can get messy. During cold and flu season you will want Clorox wipes to be cleaning your desk so you won't get sick. Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are good to use to clean the bathroom sinks or the shower. A mop is key if you want to clean the shower you will be most likely sharing with suite mates. For cleaning the toilet make sure to use the bowl cleaning solution and you can also get a toilet brush. Also, bring dish soap if you bring silverware and dishes that you will need to clean.
2. Kleenex
Buy Kleenex in bulk. You will need it even if you aren't sick and just have random sniffles. But when it does come to winter time, you WILL need Kleenex...Lots of it.
3. Power Strip Chord
There aren't that many outlets in dorm rooms and if you have a lot of things that require electricity, you will need a power strip!
4. Bath Mat
When you get out of the shower or if you walk into the bathroom, you don't want to be in a puddle of water.
5. Long Charger
If you decide to loft your bed, you don't want to wake up with your phone falling all the time.
6. Disposable silverware
In all honesty you will not want to be cleaning dishes; please just get disposable silverware.
7. Real Food or Snacks
Dining Hall food can be good, but if it's cold out or rainy, you will most likely mot want to go outside just to get food. Stock up on microwavable rice, mac & cheese, oatmeal, fruit cups, pop tarts and other snacks in times of need.
8. Band Aids
If you buy new shoes and don't break them in before going to college, bring band-aids for blisters, or paper cuts or anything else. Bring Band-aids.
9. Paper Plates
Same reason as #6
10. Paper Towels
They're so easy to use and if you need a quick napkin or anything, just use it.
