It's finally June, which means that soon it'll officially be my favorite season: summer. Still, it rained most of last week where I live, and people were complaining. Now the sun has finally come back out, and people have begun to complain about the heat. I still remember a few months ago when people were complaining about how cold it was and about how everything was dead outside (although, I'm also guilty of that fault). It seems that whether the suns shining or it's raining or it's snowing, someone is ready to complain. I, myself, admit that when the weather's dreary, and the rain won't seem to stop, I complain too.
If you're the one complaining, I really don't blame you. Still, I know a better way to deal with what the weather's like than to complain: enjoy the simple things more.
I love the summer, even though I have been known to become overheated and pass out on occasion. Some people I know can't stand the heat, though. Nevertheless, everyone should make the most of the warmth. Eat tons of popsicles. Puts your face under a water faucet. Exchange scary stories with your friends to send a chill down your spine and cool you off. If you really can't stand how hot it is, go inside and read books all day. When it starts to get cold again, drink something warm like coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and if you hate all of those, then eat some warm soup. Enjoy being able to wear shorts in the summer, and enjoy being able to wear sweaters and scarves in the winter. When it rains, you have an excuse to stay inside; so make the most of it. Lay on your floor and contemplate the nature of life. Read tons of books, play tons of video games, watch your favorite TV series for the fifteenth time, or watch random cat videos on YouTube.
For now, I'll be enjoying my summer by hanging out outside and making sure my cat doesn't run too far into the wild. When winter comes back, I'll do the same except without as many bugs flying in my face and without being able to feel my body as I slowly freeze.
