Recognizing an issue in our society is the first step to deep cleaning any stains in the system. I am constantly trying to keep my eyes open so that the world will fall into focus, and I encourage others to join me. In that case, problems will become visible and justice can be better upheld. Any disagreements between us can put our efforts to the test and strengthen our understanding. Respect and civility should carry such endeavors forward.
After the first step, action should always follow. However, before we do anything, research should take place. Not a half-hearted peek at the government’s most recent social media activity or a disgusted look at a few News reports about the politicians you hate. Turn on your computer and study the issues at hand. Investigate the facts and exercise your freedom to access knowledge.
Once you feel compelled to target a specific matter, you have every right to add substance to a conversation.
You are perfectly capable of finding answers and then enforcing them on your own. There are countless opportunities and outlets that will steer you towards the truth. Outside the realm of the News industry, find reliable sources and explore them. Discover what really happened. Don’t let friendly faces and charismatic leaders convince you of things that might not be true.
Honesty lies backstage.
When the speakers turn off and the lights go down, that is where you should be. Don’t be a disciple of any politician or celebrity. Admire those who seem to be telling the truth and then look up the details on your own. Talk-shows and TV interviews have their own agenda.
If there’s a crowd, question it.
Just because it’s popular doesn’t mean it’s right.
This isn’t always the case, but without research we will never know. I’ve been scammed into believing lies before and it makes me sick to think about. I’ve been loud about subjects that lacked any serious investigation and it backfired.
Separate smooth rhetoric from accuracy.
Unearth the facts and then begin the fight. It isn’t easy exhaustively studying what is going on in the world, but it’s worth it. There are numerous books open to the public that will advance our understanding of politics, current events, laws, economics, historical events and science.
With truth and knowledge, we can become pioneers in the field of justice and virtue.
