Dating

This topic is not one we want to discuss over our meal, if we don`t bring a partner with us... DON`T ASK. Dating is weird in college, don`t make it weirder.

School

At this point school is the most stressful thing in my life, I want my thanksgiving meal to be peaceful, so bringing up classes and grades is definitely not the move.

Money

No I do not have a job, yes I am broke, thank you for making me feel bad :)

My Clothes

Why yes, there are holes in my jeans. Yes, they did come that way. No, they weren`t on sale because they`re " damaged". So funny and Original.

Comparing me to other family members

Really, my cousin had a 100 in calculus.. great, but C`s get degrees. I am living my own life on my own timeline, stop comparing me to siblings, cousins, anyone but me!!!

" What`re you going to school for again?"

I am only explaining my major ONE time, no more than three questions, and no suggestions on what other majors I could switch too. I am perfectly happy with mine :)

" Are you really taking three to-go plates?"

Listen, Linda. I am broke and I am hungry, don`t judge me.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
