To the one who's scared of what the future may hold for you,

Please hear me out. You feel scared because your past maybe hasn't been so good, and maybe you haven't been able to catch a break in the flow of stress in your life. Maybe you're scared you won't find your place or the thing you love the most in the world. You may feel like you've come to a dead end, and you're scared of what will come ahead. But just know that there are a time and a place for everything, and what's meant to happen will happen. But even more than that, you will be able to handle whatever comes your way.

You are a valid, capable, and wonderful human being, and you have the potential for infinite greatness. No matter what stage of your life you're in, you have the ability and power to make yourself the best version of yourself. If you aren't happy with the course of your life so far, you can change it entirely by tomorrow if that's what you wanted. No one else is in control of your life, even though this may sometimes be challenging to understand. You have to follow rules and listen to others around you, but at the end of the day, your future is going to have the most appearances of yourself, so you need to make sure you're happy with the choices you make.

The future can be overwhelming and, quite honestly, scary as hell. But just because you're scared and unsure of what may come to you in a day/week/month/year, doesn't mean you should hold yourself back from making dreams for yourself, then finding a way to make those dreams become your reality. You may not have always had it easy, but when you get to achieve your dreams and make a life that you're happy to live, you will be proud that you could pull yourself out of the past, and jump into new and exciting things.

Even if it's the middle of the week or year, don't wait for an opportunity to make a change in something you're unhappy about. Future you will thank you and be so proud that present you could take that huge step and make the change that would bring the most happiness. Your present self may not bring you the most happiness, and you may not feel unique. But you are. You are the one and only you in this world. There is no one else like you, and you have the power to make a huge change in yourself and in the world. Your future can be a bright and welcoming place if you start by taking baby steps towards improving the things that keep you up at night. If you start by changing one aspect of the present life you live to make it more positive, you are likely to find much more happiness along the way,

Don't give up your dreams, and don't let anyone tell you how to make your life the most worthwhile and worth living. You get to decide that. No matter what happens, even if you trip and lose sight of your goals, always keep moving forward. Keep moving because, as soon as you stop, you'll get roped back in. You deserve a wonderful and happy future, and I know you can achieve it. You are a strong, independent, powerful person with lots to offer the world, and I hope you use your skills to make you the very best you.
