As the recent Republican Convention has concluded, the Republican Party has nominated Donald Trump as their candidate. There are so many things wrong with this picture. As his name slowly arose as a Republican candidate, many did not believe that he had any potential. As the months went on, he gained enough votes to get into this position. I personally do not know how the United States has gotten to such a point of hopelessness. They want a celebrity to take office.
Trump is not worthy enough to be the next president of the United States. You may be thinking Clinton is not either, but having Trump would lead the U.S. into a complete downfall. The Trump administration would be the end to the good foreign relations we have with some nations. The United States would be seen as a complete joke to other countries.
During the convention, Ted Cruz couldn’t even endorse him -- not to forget that Melania’s speech had parts of her speech directly taken from Michelle Obama’s speech given in 2008. Trump seemed to have his children’s speeches intact, though.
Trump overall has no experience. He lacks solid policies when it pertains to foreign issues. Most of his businesses have gone bankrupt. He has always been upper class. He grew up not poor, but pretty well off. He has not experienced the middle, or lower class struggles. He wants to stop ISIS, yet has no real idea how. He doesn’t support women’s reproductive issues as well, by banning abortions. He has made several comments degrading women as well. His stance on immigration is to increase border patrol and make sure no illegal immigrants come in. He wants to repel Obamacare as soon as possible because it is a waste of money. He claims he wants to replace it with something better, however, has not talked about the better solution. Education seems to be a priority as well and he wants to reduce student loans. He wants to cut national spending and take it out of education supposedly, which contradicts his desire for improvements in the education system.
Trump is all talk and that’s it. All of these issues paint a picture of an unthoughtful, careless and inexperienced leader. So, when he tries to “make America great again,” just think about the future generations and how they will pay the price for it. Donald Trump should not be taken as a serious candidate.
