People argue that dogs are man's best friend. Which they are. Our furry friends have become part of the family just as a human would. Buying food, toys, beds, and accessories are just some of the things needed to take care of a pet. But why do we have them as pets? Why do we deserve dog?

“The success of dogs [and other domesticated creatures] on the surface of the Earth is entirely due to the fact that we take some level of care of them,” said Clive Wynne of The Washington Post. Dogs are like humans in many ways. They need the love, care and attention that we all deserve as people and that they deserve as a pet. Most commonly, the undivided love and attention.

The companionship between humans and dogs started a long time ago. It's said that ancient people domesticated dogs from wolves when hunting for food. Wynne, from The Washington Post, said that in an article, it suggested humans and dogs often hunted closely together, which caused them to be around people. Leading to today's domesticated dog

Dogs make the perfect household pet. There are health benefits and pros of owning one. According to Purina.com, owning and taking care of a dog can lower blood pressure, recovering from illness faster, emotional support, and stronger immune system. They recommend having enough time to take proper care because pets can improve your lifestyle and wellbeing.

Overall, we may not know exactly when dogs started to hang around humans, but it is arguably one of the greatest gifts life can give us. A mans best friend.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
