Reasons Why Dogs Are The Best Pets

Cats are alright, but dogs are obviously superior.

Reasons Why Dogs Are The Best Pets

I am about to state something that is arguably one of the most truthful things a person could ever say. Dogs are simply the best pets a person could ever have. However, for some odd reason, some people do not think that dogs are quite possibly the best pet for a person ever. I know, crazy right? Well, I am going to tell you many of the reasons why all of those obvious cat lovers need to reassess their lives and consider dumping the cat for the superior dog.

They always want to help

No matter what it is you're trying to accomplish, your dog will always be by your side trying its absolute hardest to try and help you. Some dogs are even raised to help us humans as their jobs! K-9's and service dogs are literally born and trained to help their best friends, humans. They may not always accomplish their goal in helping but it's the thought that counts and that's what truly matters.

They can help make you active

Dogs, especially puppies, need to be constantly entertained and run around. So, once you get done with your daily activities, then it'll be time to bust out the leash and tennis balls and take your dog on the excursion of their lives. They will refuse to allow you a single lazy day because they are always ready to run around and be active with their owner.

They will always be there for you

Dogs always know what's up. When you're feeling down, this furry friend will always be by your side to comfort you. Even though they aren't humans, they sure know when you aren't your normal, happy self. They will do anything they can to make you feel better, which just so happens to always include a lot of puppy cuddles. No talking, not trying to solve your issues for you, just plain old comfort. Nothing better than that, in my opinion.

They are almost always doing something ridiculous and video worthy

Dogs are just absolutely hilarious. Even if it is completely by accident, which most of the time it is, they never fail to get a laugh out of us. Their antics always seem to take us out of our mundane, stressful lives and replace it with simple joy from a furry friend.

Go get yourself a dog. You will not regret it. Sure they can be a bit costly, but it is so worth it knowing you will always be able to come home to a dog who is always happy to see you. And if you are still on the fence about this whole debate, let me leave you with this inspirational picture:

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
