Do the Things That Set Your Soul On Fire

So, it's no secret that sometimes life gets filled to the brim with the boring and mundane things that we all have to do. (Laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc.). But, life itself has so much more potential. Yes, I'm well aware of how incredibly cheesy that last sentence came off to be. But, just bear with me for a second.

Is there anything in your life that you're just chomping at the bit to do? Any bucket list items? Any big, spontaneous life changes? I know that I have quite a few items to check off on my personal bucket list.

Here are a few of my goals to check off:

To be able to be lucky enough to get the opportunity to record a three-track demo CD/professional done audio recording of my music.

I'm a decent lyricist, and I also know my way around sheet music.

Go swimming with dolphins.

I've always wanted to try this, and who doesn't love dolphins?

To become a better person by fixing some of my character flaws.

This one is super deep, and I'll be the first to admit I'm not a perfect person. I have quite a few character flaws, but I'd truly love to be a better person tomorrow than the person I am today (as cliche as that sounds!)

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person out there that has a Bucket List that stretches for miles.

But, what are you going to do to get from where you are right now to where you want to be in the future? What are you doing now to make those goals happen? Are you honing your craft? Are you getting your metaphorical feet wet in your chosen career field? Are you learning how to swim? (If your goal is similar to my aquatic one.)

Bottom line, achieving your life goals is a multi-step process, but it's entirely possible.

So, take the steps, but do the things that set your soul on fire—do the things that make you so insanely happy to be alive.

Live your life to the fullest; one life is all any of us ever has.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
