People with curly hair hear some ridiculous comments on a daily basis, we hear it so often that we could practically write a book about it. Here are some comments, actions, or questions people with curly hair are tired of.

1. Touching our hair.

It is one thing if we actually know you, but if you are a total stranger you have no business putting your hand anywhere in our hair. It is just creepy, rude, and annoying so please do not do this. I have had random people try to run their fingers through my hair and get stuck. You act like you have never seen hair before, it is just going to feel like how hair usually feels like.

2. "Is that your natural hair?"

No curling wand could ever make curls like this. Yes, it is my natural hair.

3. "It looks better straight" or "You should do it straight more often"

Wow, thanks you just gave me more of a reason not to do it straight. It is our hair if we want to have it natural we will, if we want to do it straight we will, just know it is not because of you. We are sick of the back handed compliments.

4. "Why don't you brush your hair?"

Brushing curly hair will just turn into a frizzy mess. Yes you can comb it while it is wet, but once it is dry brushing your hair will just disrupt your curl patterns, and cause excessive amounts of frizz.

5. Hair salons.

We can never find a good hair salon that can blow out curly hair. I have walked out of salons with my hair partially wet because they did not know how to blow it out. Personally, I feel if you are going to be a hair stylist you should learn how to work on all hair types. It can be frustrating having to research and make sure the place you are going knows how to work on your hair type.

6. Lack of curly haired YouTubers.

YouTube can be very helpful when learning how to manage your hair. While there are a few great curly haired beauty gurus on youtube, it would be much more helpful if there were as many as there are for straight hair.

7. Hair loss.

The amount of hair left after a shower is actually terrifying; you can pretty much make a wig with the left over hair. It is essential that you get one of those hair strainers; this way it does not clog the drain.
