I think that we often find ourselves asking God why. Why, he would put you through whatever you are going through when it is not easy.
And it is human nature to want to point fingers at someone. So you come up with a logic rational in your head that you shouldn't have to be going through what you are going through. Because you are in a constant search for an answer, even if it's not the right one.
I believe that we often forget what it is like to go through trials in our lives and what their purposes are. Sure, at the time that you are going through them, it is painful. You forget which way is up and which way is down because you feel so incredibly lost. But everyone has this problem every once in awhile and it is important to remember that it is normal!
And you have to remember that you are never alone through the trials. He is always there with you if you are willing to let him in. It is easy to isolate yourself and pretend that nothing is happening because that is the easiest thing to do, bail. But we are stronger than that and we often ignore that simple fact. You are strong.
And God doesn't simply put us through the hard things just to do so. There is a purpose behind every trail, every obstacle. You just have to be willing to open your eyes and take the challenge on head first, don't even think twice about it. Because when you put too much thought into it, you are going to second guess yourself when you shouldn't.
"This too shall pass."
This challenging time will pass and you won't even look in the rearview mirror once it has. Or maybe you will, because let's be honest, you probably learned a thing or two from it. If life was filled with no obstacles, what do you think that we would ever learn?
"The pain that you have been feeling cannot compare to the joy that is to come." -Romans 8:18
Something I used to tell myself was that the lowest lows bring you to your highest highs. If you do not struggle, how are you supposed to know what it is like to relish in the goodness that is brought into your life.
So fight the battle that you must and remember that there are always going to be hills in valleys in life. Roll with the punches and remember that He is always there with you and there for you.
