This Is Why Disney Will Always Be My Home

Growing up, we always went to Disney at least once a year. We have video camera footage of my stroller when one of the wheels fell off. We were on Main street in the Magic Kingdom. I don't remember because I was so tiny. But having that footage always make me nostalgic.

I have family that lives about an hour away from Orlando, near the Tampa area. We always go with them! We have the most amazing times! And a few times we got to stay at a Disney Resort Hotel so we got to stay for more than one day.

I love the fact that Disney World has something for everyone. My mom loves It's a Small World, my brother loves Space Mountain. And it's always been that way.

Whenever we go to the Magic Kingdom, we always do everything in the same order. We start to the left, over in Adventureland and make our way around clockwise. By the end of the night, we are over in Tomorrowland. We never need a map!

I feel like Disney World is a place where I feel at home because everything is bright and colorful and welcoming. I personally have a different experience every single time I visit. It's a place that changes all the time. Every time I visit, I notice some new landscaping and maybe a ride change, but it doesn't change in my heart.

When we were young, we always had to stay with our parents for safety reasons. But once I was around 12 years old, they basically let my brother and I lose. Sometimes we broke the order of rides and went straight over to Space Mountain.

We almost always go to the same Restaurant, Pinocchio Village Haus. It has been a huge favorite in my family for a long time. It's so funny because there are a ton of different restaurants in the Magic Kingdom that we haven't tried because we always want food from the same place.

Disney World is a vacation spot. A ton of people visit every single day. They probably feel the same way I do. It's just one of those places that everyone can relate too. Whether it be a good story or a bad story. There were a couple of times I went and cried my eyes out, and I don't even remember the reason why. People have different experiences everywhere you go. Some people reading this might hate Disney World and that's okay! It will always feel like home to me.

I even watch youtube vlogs of different people visiting the parks. Just simply watching them enjoy the rides and meeting characters makes me joyful, because I know exactly what it feels like. Whenever I am missing Disney, I watch these people enjoy their day at the parks. It makes me so happy because I have been there! I know exactly what they are doing! It's easy to imagine myself where they are.

Everyone has a place that they get to call home. I have a ton of places that I love. However, Walt Disney World will always be my home.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
