Poetry on Odyssey: My Sedentary Life

Traveling the world seems like such a good idea,

that is until I realize that means moving.

The thought of getting on a form of transportation gives me the heebie jeebies.

I get nauseous and anxious the moment it enters my mind.


I would love to explore the world and everything it has to offer,

but given the fact that I get sick on boats, planes, cars, and any other mode of transportation,

it will be a difficult dream to see come true.


But culture abounds in these places,

the lights and colors and people are all unique.

Unfortunately, I was not born with the easy ability to explore.


Life has given me a tough hand when it comes to following my dreams.

I just have to keep my eyes on the prize,

the expansion of my knowledge and experiences,

and fight with everything I have in me to live my life to the fullest.
