Different Kinds Of Female Roommates
Clarisse Meyer

As you go through your college years, you are bound to have a few different roommates who possibly fit in one of these categories. Everyone experiences college differently. Everyone adjusts differently. Here are some kinds of roommates that you might run into which make college a little more interesting.

The Introvert:
Happy to spend lots of time alone, watching movies and studying hard in the comfort of her bed.

The Chihuahua:
Super out going but not sure how to talk to the other gender. She's almost was like a hyper little dog who never runs out of energy.

The Mother:
The roommate who took on the mother role. She made sure the room was clean, vacuumed, aired out the room and makes sure everyone went to bed at a decent hour

The Mole:
The roommate who is very studious. She sticks to her room. She cares for everyone and always makes sure her laundry was clean and makes her bed everyday.

The Disappearer:
Rarely spends time in the room. She has other friends in another dorm building. She is a night owl so usually you could catch her around 1 or 2 in the morning.

The Social Jock:
The roommate who is on a sports team. She does school work, but knows that she can do better. She is super sociable and likes to hang out with the other sports team.

The Wanna Be:
The girl who is not on a sports team but hangs out with all the athletes. She eats lunch and hangs out with them whenever she is free

The Hobo:
The roommate who rarely does laundry. No one ever sees her do it but somehow she never runs out of clothes. Honestly, it mystifies people. Or does she just re-wear everything?

The Lovesick Puppy:
The roommate who hangs out with her boyfriend all the time. She hangs out with him during the day and then stays up late to work on her school work to make up for the time that she should have been studying during the day.

The Incognito Athlete:
The girl who is on a sports team but never hangs out with them. She is perfectly content with hanging out with the people in her building.

The Washer Hog:
That roommate that washes only 1 shirt at a time, causing people to have to wait 30 minutes for them to be able to put their full load of stinky laundry in.

The Adventurer:
The awesome roommate that is down for any adventure. She is the first one to mention a hike or a fun road trip to somewhere incredible.

The Puppy:
The roommate who follows the other roommates around and cannot go anywhere on their own.

In every college there are girls like these. Everyone is getting used to how college works. For me, it is very entertaining to see how people act in college. At some point throughout your college years, you may stumble along and happen to have one these girls as your roommates. From freshman to senior year, girls discover who they are and who they want to be.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
