Whoever said Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend Obviously Never Had A Dog

I'm more worried about not seeing my dog when I go to college than I am about not seeing about 90% of the people I know.

So, yeah, sorry to crush everyone's feelings, but unless you're actually an important person in my life, I probably like my dog better than you. I'm honestly not even trying to be rude here, just honest.

Tanner is such a lovable and protective dog that I'll seriously be a total mess, at least in the beginning, at college while getting used to the huge transition.

While I'm going to be missing my dog like crazy, he will probably be at home enjoying his peace and quiet! When I'm around, there's no relaxing for him because I either want to play with him, or cuddle with him in a way that super comfy for me, but like being a body contortionist for him.

Joking aside, I'll obviously miss some humans, but right now, I always have my dog. When I'm tired, I make him come take a nap with me. When I want to have a laugh, I end up using him to somehow make that happen, whether that be by playing with his ears, or just dressing him up in a funny costume.

So, like I said, me leaving will definitely cut him a break, but overall, he'll be lonely too. Instead of laying with me in bed at night, he'll have to find a new favorite family member.

Instead of me getting him ice cream whenever I'm out, he'll have to deal with only getting it like once a week, which may sound like a lot, but he's very spoiled by me. One day I got him two large ice cream dishes within about three hours, just because.

Sure, I'll be missing him like crazy and his life may be a bit easier without me bugging him all day, but we are both going to have some adjusting to do.

I'm sure most people reading this are thinking to themselves, "she is seriously crazy, he's just a dog," but he's not just a dog. He's my best friend.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
