Recently yet another update has been debuted by Capcom for Resident Evil 7's current demo that debuted on the PS4. Code named the Twilight demo , Capcom has given a more in depth to the mansion we explored in the previous demo. This is great news for those that were not able to explore the mansion now, as it was released to all PlayStation members not just PlayStation plus members. Changes were also made in some of the rooms andother corridors. Meaning this will be a new experience for all players alike and does not alienate the players who have not had the chance to play the demo before.
As if this wasn’t enough for Resident Evil fans, a new trailer has also been released for the upcoming title saidto make its debut in January. We get another closer look at the Baker mansion, which the trailers and the demos seem to confirm that this is where a big part of the game takes place. The Baker family was also introduced inthis trailer, seeming to take strong inspirations from Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I want to also conclude that mytheory of the person in the wheelchair thought to be Spencer is false. Due to another source Avid Expert onYouTube he has confirmed that the person in the wheel chair is not a man but a women named Camille. I hadmy doubts at first about this theory, but due to Capcom further confirming this piece of evidence I am going to assume that this piece of evidence is accurate. When we get a glimpse of the Baker family, we see what is supposed to be a family dinner with rather grotesque non-traditional items to consume on the menu. I want tolet fans know that this is a part of the game of which we will playing later this year, and that it is separate fromwhat we are experiencing from the demo as a whole. I also want to note that the demo is not a complete waste of time, as the TV crew who ventures into the house a part of the story, but just not on as grand of a scale.
On top of all of this, Capcom also announced at the Tokyo Game show that a Deluxe version of the game willalso be released at a staggering 89.99, which is sort of a big price jump from the original 79.99 price that wasintroduced earlier a few months ago. This is possibly due to the extra story downloadable content that will be placed onto the game instead of the originally advertised season pass. The downloadable content is said to contain four extra stories and an extra chapter to the main stories actual game. This leads me to think that the story will be chapter based which will bode well for a first person game as opposed to the third person environments that were introduced in earlier game titles. It is not really set in stone what kind of content that will be provided on these stories or the extra chapter, at least not at this time at posting of this article.
Something else that will interest Resident Evil fans is that 10 original characters will be making an appearance, one of them said to be Chris Redfield, this information was also confirmed by my source Avid Expert and also by Capcom themselves. It has also been confirmed that there will be less enemies in the game but the enemies will have purpose and will be harder to defeat then the traditional cannon fodder enemies we have gotten used to in 5 and 6. There have also been reports that the traditional item box system from the older Resident Evil titles are said to be making a comeback, plus a multitude of weapons to use like a chainsaw instead of just guns. This seems to confirm that like an older video game title Condemned, you will be using the environment around you to take out enemies. Hopefully this bit of information will come as a surprise to many fans and maybe even make a few old school fans happier.
Resident Evil 7 is set to release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24, 2017. European fans will be able to order the standard Day 1 Survival edition at the price of 64.99 euros/ 42.99 Euros that comes with a theme for your video game console and a Survival Pack: Recovery set. This is said to have consumable health items and a chance to play madhouse mode which is said to be the most difficult version of the game and an newly introducing lucky coin item that will be used to defend yourself against the enemies in the game. This version of the game will also feature a season pass. So it seems that everyone come release date will have something to look forward to. Happy Gaming!
