About three-fourths of everyone I know had the privilege of going somewhere warm and sunny for spring break. The other fourth (myself included) had the month of March sneak up on us, thus, we never made a plan, asked our parents for help or saved the money.
Thankfully for those of us at home, we have a handful of friends in town to share the FOMO with. In-between the hours of gorging ourselves with food and sleeping until the middle of the afternoon, we'll probably go on the Internet and look at all the pictures of fun we aren't having in our Midwest home.
So while our peers are soaking up the Mexico/Florida/tropic sun and making decisions they'll only remember through Snapchat stories and back-to-school gossip, the rest of us are hanging out with our moms and cleaning out our refrigerators.
