Descendants: The New Generation of Disney

It's better than you think.

Ask any one of my friends, and they will tell you I am a die hard Disney girl. Except, I don't really like the current shows on Disney Channel. I grew out of them, mostly.

There are a small few shows I watch because the content is there. They're not 'music' based. In my opinion, Disney just needs to leave the singing to their musicals.

Recently, there was a new Disney movie out and I usually give those a chance. You can't go wrong with a DCOM, am I right? This certain one is titled "Descendants 2." I didn't watch the first one, so I streamed it.

Oh my goodness!

Disney brings back so much goodness. For those who don't know, "Descendants" is when "the happily ever after" begins. All the OG Princesses and Princes are married, and they even have kids! That also means the Villains -- who were banished to an island -- had kids. This movie is one of the best Disney Channel movies I have ever seen in the past 8 years

Here are 11 thoughts I had while watching the series:

**Spoilers ahead**

1. Wait, why are all these kids around the same age?

Was there a magic spell or curse that birthed these children?

2. Who would have kids with these villains?

It's Disney, so everyone has a 'Happily Ever After.' Does this mean each Villian has a love interest? Why don't we ever see them, or hear a mention of them?

3. Why are Belle and Adam running the country?

Shouldn't Cinderella and Charming run it? They do have that castle in Disney World...

4. Why is this music so catchy?

"Ways To Be Wicked" and "What's My Name" are some of the best musical songs since High School Musical: Senior Year.

5. Ben is like 16. Why is he being crowned King now?

Belle and Adam are still alive and kicking. There is no reason for them to pass down the crown just yet.

6. Why is Belle played by the Blue Fairy...?

Did Disney not think to bring "Once Upon A Time's" Belle to the movie instead of Blue Fairy?

7. Ok, so these kids names start with the same letter as their parents...

Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos are a spin off of Maleficent, Evil Queen, Jamar, and Cruella. Interesting.

8. Where are Ariel and Eric?

They are no where to be found, including Rapunzel. What the heck, Disney?

9. The tension between Harry and Mal is real.

Like, do they have a past we don't know about? I need to know!

10. This is one of the more modest movies in a while.

All the 'short' skirts have leggings with them, and there aren't any weird necklines. Love that!

11. This is a super good movie.

I secretly hope there will be a third one, oops.

If you haven't checked out any of the "Descendants" movies, I would highly suggest watching them. Especially if you're a Disney Princess lover. It puts a new spin on a classic fairy tale!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
