Dear Tori...

Dear Tori,

Over the past 4 years, I have watched you master the ways of college/adult life. I have seen you grow into the amazing role model you are to me. Even though we were five hours apart for your first few years of school you were always there for me! I appreciate that so much!!! This year as I transitioned into college you have continued to be a HUGE support.

Thank you!

I honestly didn't know how I was going to survive high school after you moved away for college. I had spent so many years with you by my side, but you made the distance shorter and always picked up when I called. You still always pick up when I call and you will never know how much that means to me. Even though I don't see you all the time it still feels like you are here with me. I owe you so much for all you have done for me.

I am so proud of you, Tori. YOU DID IT! You are graduating COLLEGE. No matter what the next step is for you I know you will THRIVE! You have always been such a huge inspiration for me.

I APPRECIATE YOU SO MUCH

I can't express how much you mean to me and how glad I am to have you in my life. You are literally such an amazing person, and I am so glad I get to call you my sister!! You have helped me through the most difficult time of my life and acted like it was no big deal.

I could never thank you enough for supporting me through all the good, the bad, the ugly, and the really ugly of the past 19 years.

Now soon you will move on to the next stage of life, and I know you are going to kill it. I can't wait to see where this next step takes you and I can't wait to watch and continue to learn from you. You were so influential on so many of my decisions and I know you will continue to have such a huge impact on my life.

I'm So Glad I Get To Call You My Big Sister

Sincerely,

Your Little Sis

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
