Dear Thanksgiving,

I want to promise you a few things because I appreciate you!

1. I Promise To Remind All My Friends That You Are Before Christmas

Yes, I know lots of them forget about you but I never will! I know they will want me to listen to Christmas music and watch all the movies but you are still my number 1!

2. I Promise To Not Listen To Christmas Music Until After You Have Passed

I will not even add a Christmas station to my Pandora account until the Friday after you! I won't even hum the tune of a Christmas song until after you!

3. I Will Always Talk About Why You Are Important

You are important to me! EVERYONE will understand what you mean to me!

4. I Will NOT Decorate My Part Of The Dorm Until December

I am and will never be one of those people who decorates as soon as November 1 comes around. You will not be overlooked by me!

5. I Promise To Always Question Why Christmas Decorations Come Out Before Yours Do

This is weird to me, to be honest, l think Christmas decorations come out too early! I saw some in October! It's insane!

6. I Will Make Sure You Feel The Love Each Year

Thanksgiving is a time when families gather together and get time to relax before finals. Thanksgiving brings love and joy to many and it deserves the same love and appreciation

7. I Will Make Sure You Feel Appreciated

A lot of people forget about you, I will never be one of those people.

8. I Will Make Sure My Future Husband Understands My Love For You

Sorry future Hubby but if you don't like Thanksgiving we will have an issue.

9. I Will Listen To You When You Need A Friend

When you, Thanksgiving, feel down because people are listening to Christmas music I will be your shoulder to cry on.

10. I Will Always Love You

You represent more to me than just a big, filling, meal. You represent my family coming together in our home for the first time in 3 months. The warmth and comfort you bring me is my I will alway love you

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
