I just came back from my sorority formal from last night and boy do I have a lot to dig into for this article. I feel like this dance was a lot of fun for sure, but I think that formal dances get a lot of feedback after in regards to who you took with you or who you didn't take with you.

A lot of the time people expect you to have a date going to dances. Honestly, I did not have a date for my junior year prom. So when it came time for formal, I just kind of was in a similar spot in my life. There is not really a special someone in my life giving me all the heart eye feels, but I sure do wish.

But I am not going to let that define my happiness when I go out or when I go to the dance itself. I'm there to enjoy myself and have a good time. Life is too short sometimes to worry about the one, the one will eventually come to me. I sometimes want to plan everything out in my life, and this most certainly is not something you can just plan for.

I do hope in the future I am able to have all the heart eyes for someone that I can eventually show off and take to dances. I hope that he is out there waiting for me and cannot wait for the day we cross paths.

In the meantime, I am going to go eat some chocolate and listen to I Hate Love Songs by my girl, Kelsea Ballerini. I may even watch some Netflix, y'all will never know haha. What are your go to's when you are not in a relationship? Let me know below!
