Mom,
So, today’s your day — Mother’s Day — but really, every day should be your day. Not only do you do what you can for me and my sister, but you do the most for everyone around you. You don’t pay attention to how things are going to affect you, or you don’t care, because you’re so focused on those around you and making their lives better. That is amazing.
Basically, you’re the human version of superwoman, and I wish I could be half the woman you are every single day. Maybe one day I will be. I know there have been so many times I’ve let you down, but I always try to live the type of life you would be proud of. You’ve taught me so well — every life lesson, every scolding and every praise have taught me how to be a better woman. I couldn’t have asked for a better mother to teach me everything I need to know about life.
Even last year, when I was in the lowest place I’ve been in, you were there to help me as much as you possibly could. I made some mistakes, but you were always there to show me how to make it better. While some people have parents who would talk down to them, or not be there for them —you were there for me. I will always be the most grateful for you.
I’m not sure what I would do without you, and I don’t want to ever know. Even though you’ve taught me pretty much everything I know, I still have so much to learn from you. You’re like my best friend. Actually, you probably really are.
I don't tell you nearly enough how much you mean to me, and I don't stay in touch as often as I know I should, but you are everything to me. I wish I knew a better way to say it, because this isn't nearly enough, but I hope I got at least part of my gratitude across.
I hope your Mother's Day is amazing, and I wish I was there to spend it with you the right way, but I will soon. I promise.
I love you so much!
