Dear Mom, If You're Reading This

You don't hear it often enough, but thank you.

If I could, I would give you the world but I only have the money for a candle.

Thank you for letting me chase these wild dreams of mine. You support me whenever I bring up changing my major for the umpteenth time without question. You have faith in me, and sometimes that's all I really need to make those wild dreams a reality. It makes them seem possible.

Thank you for being my rock and my shoulder to cry on, no matter the time of day. I know I can come to you with any problem, and now that I'm older, most of the problems aren't so easily fixed. But you raised me to be a strong woman with a level head on her shoulders. Some problems can't be fixed but when they can, you're always there to help me.

Thank you for your motherly advice. Most times, it takes several instances for me to take your advice, even though I know you're right to begin with. I'm starting to realize that it's your job to be right because you're my mom and a mother's intuition is never wrong.

Thank you for being a strong woman. I've definitely learned from the best. You've given me strength in times where being strong seemed impossible. You're the best role model I could ever ask for.

I can't put into words how grateful I am that God made you my mother. I don't know what I would do without you.

Thank you for providing me with the best life you could ever give me.

Thank you for raising me to be the very best I can be.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
