Dear Future Roommate

Here is the thing, I have been involved in the sports world for a number of years and I will still continue to be involved with sports. Currently, I am going to be part of the Crew team which I am very proud of, but here are a few things that you need to know about me with being on the crew team.

I'm going to have like four alarms that go off just to wake me up, I'm sorry about that really I am, but the thing is it has to happen. I'd rather face an angry roommate then an angry coach that would make me run for being late, so once again I am sorry. I will try my hardest not to wake you up when I am getting ready for my 5 a.m. practices.

Next, I want to say sorry for the complaining of the blistered battered hands that I am going to have, and the endless band-aid wrappers that will be found through out the room.

You must also, my dear roommate, deal with the tiredness that I will feel after a day at school and a night at practice, so I am sorry if you want to talk and I just fall asleep. I don't mean to really I don't just understand that they are very long days for me.

I will also be honest with you that I probably will only talk about Crew, which in that case please tell me to shut it and then make me talk about something else.

I won't lie to you, I will probably be wearing spandex and t-shirt most of my days. Honestly, it's just easier that way.

Also during fall and spring, you probably will never see me. We might cross paths once or twice throughout the day, but I promise I will try my hardest to at least say hi to you whenever I do see you.

So, roommate, this is my promise to you. I promise that I will try to be my hardest to be the roommate you are looking for even with my sports. I am glad that you and I are roommates and I hope we can be the best of friends. I hope that you can deal with me my sports schedule and everything that comes into my life. So, future roommate, know that my life is always going to be crazy, but I hope you can deal with that.

Sincerely,

Your Roommate

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
