Hi Little one,
Okay, maybe this is a little early, but as you'll get to know I get super excited about things like this. You're probably in your room in whatever freshman dorm you live in getting ready for recruitment with your roommates. If you're anything like I was last year, you're probably asking your roommate how lipstick works or trying to figure out if your shoes match your outfit. I know you're probably excited to meet me but trust me, I've been waiting for this moment since my very own bid day. Throughout the year I've been collecting canvases, glittery cups, ladybug pillow pets, and ASA clothes that one day I will be able to give to you.
Part of my excitement is due to the relationship that I have formed with my own big. She has become my partner in crime, my dance partner, and one of my best friends. She is never farther than a phone call away, whether it's early in the morning or super late at night. My big has taught me the essentials. What kind of shoes to wear with what outfits, how to manage and embrace my curly hair, which classes to take and with what teachers, and how to survive college without breaking down. Most importantly, she taught me the importance of being myself and having fun. Until I met her, I could not say that I had someone like this in my life before and I did not realize how much I needed that. I want to be that for you.
As your big, I promise to be there for you always. Whether that means crying in the library with you because we're studying for our 4th test in one week, beating up the boy that breaks your heart, or coming to support you at your other activities. I'll be there to help you with your classes and explain to you all of the hard biology things that you probably don't understand yet. I will encourage you to be the best version of you. I will get you out of bed on those days where you feel like skipping class. I'm here to be your ride or die.
I cannot wait to meet you and spoil you with all of your favorite things. But until then, keep being amazing. Keep doing great things. But most importantly, keep being yourself.
Love always,
Future Biggie
