Accounting, economics, nursing, engineering, biology, chemistry.
Communications, theatre, music, education, English, sociology.
Both lists of fields attract students that have distinct backgrounds, skills and passions. However, each list is viewed under different outlooks in society: serious and not so serious; otherwise labeled as “artsy.”
So for the students whose majors are categorized, like those in the second list, as "artsy," the following advice is all for you.
Keep your head high.
You know exactly what you are doing, and why you are doing it.
You are going to second-guess yourself.
That is OK. Everyone does.
People are going to belittle your major.
Let them have their ~fun,~ and then simply ignore them.
Do NOT regret.
It is your life, not theirs.
Remember: If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life.
Shoutout to Grandma for telling me that one. You’re going to be just fine.
