Every year, there is daylight savings. Other countries do not need to do daylight savings. George Hudson came up with the idea of daylight savings. It is to ensure that the farmers will be able to have more time with the sun. The idea sounds considerate since it thinks about the farmers.
When I was younger, I liked daylight savings. It was not because of the extra sleep. I liked it because the nighttime will come early. I liked the sunset during the fall and wintertime. The nighttime coming early fitted with the holiday mood. It made me look forward to Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. When the daylight savings occur in the springtime, I miss the nighttime coming early.
Now, as a grown-up, I do not see the value of daylight savings anymore. I think it is best to leave the time the way it is. Here is one thing I noticed. Some of my relatives live in a foreign country. The foreign country is one day and one hour ahead during the spring and summertime after daylight savings. However, the foreign country is one day and two hours ahead during the fall and wintertime after daylight savings. I think it is better to leave it as one day and one hour ahead. I think that there is no need to keep changing the time differences during the different seasons and daylight savings. Then, people have to keep remembering the changes and that can be annoying.
Someone thought that the easier solution to the problem is farmers waking up early to have more time instead of changing the time. To be honest, I agree with that thought. However, I am not sure what the farmers would think. Do they still need daylight savings? What do you think about daylight savings? Will there be a time when daylight savings will end?
