Just because you can't leave home doesn't mean you shouldn't get to have an adventure too!

Now that we're grown-ups, summer break is way different from what it used to be. Now, instead of checking out brochures from different summer camps, we are frantically filling out college applications, brushing up on interview etiquette, and updating our resumes. But that doesn't mean we don't deserve to have our own summer experiences to remember, even if we're operating on a lower budget and shorter time frame!

1. King's Island, Ohio

This is a perfect day trip for any adrenaline junkie who wants a day of laughs and literal cliffhangers. All you need is a few adventure seekers to go along with you for the perfect day!

2. Newfields, Indiana

What was once called the Indianapolis Museum of Art is a great way to spend a peaceful day enjoying art, nature, and finding those Insta-worthy pictures. Featuring 100 acres full of art that practically comes to life in the middle of urban Indy, it's no wonder that these sprawling sculptures were the inspiration for John Green in his famous novel "The Fault in Our Stars."
