"Dating."
What do think of when someone says that word to you? Is the first thing that comes to mind the characteristics of the perfect guy? Or do you look at your personality and determine how you will date? Will you be like most millennials and go online to the many dating apps? Or stick to the old-fashioned routes of meeting someone in person?
Are dating apps too cliche? Some really oversell the app. They all, at one point, say that they are the highest in statistics and more people get marriages out of them. More and more people are going the online route. Which one will you choose: online or meeting someone in person? More or less, it depends on the type of person you are and the type of person you want to be with.
As with many things in life, dating does have its pros and cons. People can oversell themselves and not be themselves. Word to the wise: being who you are is the best choice; if someone doesn't like you, that is their loss, not yours.
No matter how old we get, no one wants to be single and be alone; at some point in our lives, we want to be with someone and change the rut we are in.
Dating is like eating cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory. Why do I use the analogy? Well, two things: I like eating cheesecake, but more importantly, there are many options and ways when it comes to dating.
The most important thing I can say about dating is to be safe, be yourself, and know that dating is not something that can be rushed — you have to let time do its thing. Like everything, time will always take over, and when it is the right time to meet that special person, the time will come when you least expect it.
