Dear Daddy,
I love being your little girl. It is a title I will never give up. I hold it with pride because I'm the only girl in your life that gets to have it. You are the first man I have ever loved. The man that taught me it is okay to love and open your heart. You are the man that set so many examples in my life like how to be kind to everyone and it's okay to try something that pushes the limit. You are my daddy and I wouldn't change it for the world.
You've taught me so much in this crazy life. You're the one who taught me how to love. Opening my heart to every human and creature. You said never to judge anyone because you never know what their life holds and you were right. Being genuinely nice has gotten me further in this life than anything else. You taught me how to play and even understand sports. You told me when I was younger if you know about Football it would be a hoot with the boys and guess what it is! You taught me that life is crazy and you have to take every chance you get.
I love the fact you tell me the stories about your days as a wild teen or when you met mom. When you met mom is always my favorite. I love the fact that almost 30 years later from when you two met your more in love with her than ever before. It gives me a little bit of hope on finding a love like that one day.
Daddy, oh, Daddy. You are my rock. You are the one that keeps me going. Without you in my life I have no idea where I would be. You push me through my toughest times. Whether it was sports or school you were always there to tell me to keep my chin up and keep going.
Daddy, thank you. You don't hear it enough from me. I really should say it more and more, but it is so hard to express how I feel. You always do so much for me and I don't seem like I appreciate it, but I really do. TRUST ME, I do appreciate it. Thank you for all that you do.
Dad, no man will ever compare to you. You set the standards so high for every guy I date. They will never compare to you. I'm lucky to have you as my role model and I'm truly lucky to have you to show me how a woman should be treated by a man. I'm surprised I haven't slammed the door in a man's face when they don't meet my standards. You treat mommy like a queen and you put all the standards way to high.
Thanks for teaching me how to dance to my own beat. You've always told me to ignore the haters. Okay, you've never said the actual word "haters" but I know what you meant when you said to ignore all those negative feelings from others around me. While doing that, I learned from you that I have to move to my own beat and do what I want to do because no one can stop me. (But also thanks for teaching me how to dance, seriously.)
Dad, thank you. I've said it a million times in this stupid letter, but I never say it enough. Dad, you are the top dog and the best out there. Dad, keep being the best because I don't know what I'd do without you. I love you.
Love,
Your Little Girl xoxo
