The school system is something many people believe in in order to get their children ready for the world. However, some people believe that the school system is one that is not preparing their children enough for the real world. By believing this, many people have stopped believing in the school system altogether and instead have started homeschooling their children. However, there is a solution to all of this; stop babying students, but instead teach them how the real world actually works. If one were to do this, they would definitely ensure that a child is actually ready for the real world.
This may work since the student will know what exactly is in the real world. Right now, the child knows nothing. They only know that there is a lot of work to become someone, but do they know how to effectively do a job interview? Or how they should manage their finances?
They do not, and if there was some way that schools could include this in the current curriculum, then the world may be filled with even more people who can bring jobs. In addition, by doing this, someone getting out of college would not have to try five hundred times to get a job. They would only have to try two or three times because they know how to effectively leave a mark on their interviewer.
The second reason for why this would work is that this could also teach students how to approach things, especially after they are alone in the real world. If one does not know then he or she will make mistakes. In other words, the child will learn how not to make certain mistakes by using effective techniques to work through the problem. Though some may believe that people should learn from their mistakes, it is still possible to prevent certain ones.
The ability to not be able to learn from one's own mistakes could hinder the school system altogether.
It could hinder it because there have many teachers teaching at a school for years who have a set way of doing things in their classroom, and they may completely disagree with this new process. By then disagreeing with the process, they could end up quitting, and that could cause even more problems because then many good teachers would be gone.
In the end, I believe that the school system is perfectly fine, but for those who believe that it is not good, here is a solution. The solution is to educate the students more about the real world and how to get around it, from interviewing tactics to other areas. However, this solution may have bad effects, one being that many good teachers may leave. Teachers may stop wanting to teach because they cannot teach their own way they have to teach exactly the way they are told.
The decision is not on me, though, for it is on the curriculum makers, school administration, and teachers themselves.
