Now that finals are over or maybe you are on a brief break from work, you have some free time to kick back and relax. Here are nineteen ideas of things to do with all your free time.

1. Eat

In all the rush of this hectic year, some basic needs may have gone by the wayside. Take this time to eat a balanced meal and enjoy all the nutrients your body has been missing.

2. Sleep

Get some sleep. Spend a whole weekend or day in bed, curled up with your pet or loved one, and enjoy your beauty sleep. Everyone deserves a solid eight (or nine if you are like me) hours of sleep every night.

3. Breathe

You have worked hard this semester. Take a deep breath, and be proud of all the hard work you have done.

4. Get a massage and relax.

5. Treat yourself to some hot chocolate, and enjoy the cold weather from the inside of your home.

I recommend the White Hot Chocolate from Starbucks. It is absolutely delicious and tastes like Christmas and goodness and perfection.

6. Watch a new movie or a new television series on Netflix or Hulu.

I personally recommend Friends or The Office, and watching either in their entirety to get the full awesome effect.

7. Enjoy time with your loved ones, family and friends.

8. Catch up with your old friends from high school.

9. Go ice-skating with your friends.

10. Curl up and read a new or old book.

11. Sleep.

Honestly, it deserves a second mention. No college student can claim they are well rested after the hell that is finals season.

12. Go shopping, and treat yourself to some post-Christmas sales.

13. Go for or run or get some physical exercise.

Those post-workout endorphins will do wonders for your mood health.

14. Sing a song or a few.

Studies show feel-good neurotransmitters are also released while you sing.

15. Treat your skin and do a nice face mask.

Your skin will love you for it.

16. Smile.

Sometimes the simple act of smiling can make you feel better, and studies back this fact up.

17. Read some funny articles from the Odyssey.

I recommend anything the team from Texas A&M University has written ;-)

18. Take a short day trip somewhere, or treat your hometown as if you’re a tourist and make a day of it.

19. Treat yourself to a manicure or pedicure.

Guys, you’re not too manly for a pedicure and honestly everyone can benefit from being pampered.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
