Why Cruising Is The Best Way To Travel

They really mean it when they say a cruise is a city at sea.

There’s something about being on a cruise ship that is a feeling like no other. Maybe its the service, or maybe its the fact that its a floating hotel, but I absolutely love cruising. I’ve been going on cruises as long as I can remember with my family and it has been quite the experience. We’ve been on so many different ships and to so many different destinations that I have gotten to experience an incredible amount of atmospheres.

Some cruises we’ve been on have gone to multiple destinations while others have gone to a single destination. I’ve gotten to see most of the Caribbean through cruising and it is an absolutely beautiful region of the world. Being only 18 and able to say that I have been to so many islands is such a strange feeling, but it’s something that I love.

One of my all time favorite cruises was on the Celebrity cruise line and it went to Bermuda. Bermuda is by far my favorite island, mostly because of Horseshoe Bay Beach which is one of the best beaches in the world. The cruise was seven days, so we spent three days docked in the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda.

I’ve been on this exact cruise twice now on two different lines, Norwegian and Celebrity. I’d have to say that Celebrity was my favorite of the two for a few reasons. Our room on Celebrity was on the back of the ship, so we had a giant veranda which is very uncommon on cruises simply due to lack of space. Also on Celebrity, there were less little kids which were a nice change as it was my first cruise as an adult. Bermuda is a beautiful island and there’s so much to do.

Whenever we go there’s always a festival in town, so we take the ferry over and get to experience some of the culture of Bermuda which is always very interesting as a tourist.

The food on cruise ships is always spectacular, especially if you get the seafood. I mean you’re on the ocean, you have to at least try it. Here’s a huge tip if you’re new to cruising.

Never pay for an upgraded restaurant experience on a cruise ship. I’ve been on around 9 cruises and I can honestly tell you that all of the food comes from the same exact kitchen on the ship. You’re paying for an ambiance, not upgraded food. All of the food will be amazing, I promise you that.

Experiencing a cruise vacation is something that I always love. Getting to see different parts of the world in such a unique way is always fun and relaxing. One of my favorite things to do on cruises is to lay out on the pool deck and read a book, while occasionally going swimming, taking a hot tub, or doing a ropes course.

All of the cruise lines are becoming super competitive with each other, so each one is coming out with something new and fun and crazy to do while on the ship. For example, there’s skydiving, robot bartenders, onboard parks, surf simulators, water slides, ice bars, zip-lines, bumper cars, and so much more.

Cruising will always have a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to continue exploring the world.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
