Being a writer, a musician, a craftsman, an artist, or a poet is all being a creator in some way, shape or form and it is a beautiful thing. There is something to be said about having a creative mind that works in such a way that can bring something beautiful out of it. Yet sometimes it can be hard for others to understand that.

There is no reason why anyone should want to hide or ignore something that they have created. It makes you a creator whether you think what you made is good or not, it doesn't matter because it is not about the thing you made but the fact that you had the courage to make something and then share it with yourself or others and express something.

Something about being a creator and getting into your zone and going inward and just doing what you love is something that is so beautiful and you shouldn't let anyone look down on you because of that. A great example of that feeling is if you've seen the movie "Coco," in the scene where Miguel is playing his guitar in the attic at the beginning of the movie. This is just a beautiful example of enjoying and loving what you love creating, that feeling of being so passionate about something that it is all that you want to do.

Your creation is something that you can use to speak to so many things and then your creation itself could become something so much more than a piece of art or a song or a poem. The way that our creations can impact people is something else that is truly incredible. This is another reason why you should never stop making things because you never know how something you make could impact or inspire someone.

Cassandra Clare writes in one of her books "One must always be careful of books, and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us." This is just so true whether it be books or art or whatever it is you choose to create it could impact someone in a way that you may never know about, but it could change that person.

Being a creator is so much more than just making something and that is something to be proud of. Being able to connect with people because of a mutual understanding of a passion for creating is something that is so beautiful.

It is not something that should be hidden or just pushed to the side, but something that should be celebrated and loved. From comic book artists to novelists and from artists to musicians, there may be different types of creation, but we can all come together and understand that feeling of loving what you are doing.

Don't be afraid to try something new, step out of your comfort zone, and to be able to pursue your passion. Make something beautiful out of it!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
