"Crazy Rich Asians" Trailer Has (Finally!) Dropped
Bustle

Hear ye, hear ye, I have fabulous news to share!

The best beach read of all time, Kevin Kwang's juicy and luxe and wholly hilarious novel Crazy Rich Asians, has finally made its way to the silver screen! After years of waiting time (endured only because the second and third books in the series, China Rich Girlfriend and Rich People Problems, came out and temporarily sated my need for drama), Hollywood has gotten its act together and created a film that promises to be as fashionable as The Devil Wears Prada, as funny as Bridesmaids, and as ridiculous as the better episodes of The Real Housewives.

Starring Constance Wu (she of Fresh Off The Boat fame), Crazy Rich Asians follows the engagement of Rachel and Nick, a couple whose love is tested by the pressure of Nick's family, who just happen to be some of the richest and most opulent people in Asia. Full of beautiful costumes, witty dialogue, and no end of glittering hijinx, this movie has already been compared to My Big Fat Greek Wedding and promises to deliver the same amount of hilarity and heart. Set to be released in the US on August 17 of this year, you have just enough time to read all the books (get those requests in at the library ASAP!) before the movie hits theaters.

Can't wait that long? No problem! The teaser trailer and full-length trailers for Crazy Rich Asians dropped this week and can be found on Youtube, alongside commentary and a ton of people keysmashing about how excited they are about this film. Hey, I'm right there with them!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
