Every state has things that are banned. Here are some of the wildest things that you are not allowed to do in these certain states.

1. Alabama : No Bear Wrestling

Vincent Van Zalinge

So in the state of Alabama, you are not allowed to wrestle with a bear. This includes but is not limited to, selling tickets to bear wrestling, and training a bear to wrestle. This law is on the books. Why would you want to wrestle a bear, an animal that has several hundred pounds on you, not to mention razor shape teeth and claws? So remember people, if you go to Alabama, do not participate in Bear Wrestling.

2. Arkansas: You can not honk your horn in front of a sandwich shop

Pietro De Grandi

So in Little Rock Arkansas, you can not honk your horn in front of a sandwich shop after 9 pm, so I guess if the person in front of in the drive-thru is going slow, you are going to have to be patient.

3. Colorado: No throwing missiles at a car

riya rohewal

So apparently you are not allowed to throw a missile at a car In Alamosa Colorado. Who just has a missile lying around and how would you throw it?

4. Connecticut: No kissing on Sundays

Joanna Nix

So even though this law is not enforced, it's illegal for a man to kiss his wife on Sundays. The origin of this law is unknown but it still exists. This is one of the silliest laws out.

5. Delaware: No trick-or-treating on Sunday

Rawpixel.com

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, You can not trick-or-treat on a Sunday, so if Halloween falls on a Sunday, trick-or-treating will be rescheduled. This is not a crazy one, but it's still out there, and it shouldn't matter what day it falls on, we should have trick-or-treating on Halloween.

6. Georgia: it is illegal to buy a sex toy

David Len

It's illegal to buy sex toys in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The law on the books specifically provides that "any device designed or marketed as useful primarily for the stimulation of human genital organs is obscene material" and therefore prohibited (unless the buyer has a bona fide medical, scientific, educational, legislative, judicial, or law enforcement purpose). This law is currently being challenged. Well, I guess I won't be visiting Sandy Springs, Georgia anytime soon.

7. Hawaii: Not Texting and Walking

Meghan Schiereck

A ban on pedestrians looking at mobile phones or texting while crossing the street took effect in Honolulu, Hawaii, earlier this year. Fines start at $15 and go as high as $99 for multiple violations. This may sound like a silly law but more than 11,000 injuries per year, and could soon be banned in other states. This law I can see, because so many people are attached to their phones and don't want to look up from it while they are walking.

8. Idaho: You can't be in the same house as someone who is smoking pot.

Brandon Nickerson

Marijuana use is still illegal in most states, but in Idaho you can't even be in the same house as the person that is smoking, if you are caught you can be fined up to $300, and could even serve 90 days in jail or both.

There are so many of these crazy laws out there. These are just a few of the craziest.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
