Based on the criteria for controlling variables, Sydney ($598) was the highest spending city, with Canberra ($591) in second place, Perth ($549) in third place, Melbourne and Hobart ($545) tied for fourth place, Brisbane ($492) in sixth place, Adelaide ($484) in seventh place, and Darwin ($473) as the lowest spending city.
